Why do some nutcases and weirdos think that aliens haven’t come here?

I mean we have the Pope ( http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/14959 ), Astronaut Edgar Mitchell ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXTXbi_VhJU ) and the founder of NASA ( http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2218&page=2 ) all saying they’ve been here, why can’t people get it through their thick skulls? Not to mention the 5,000 physical landing cases we get every year, and the hundreds of eyewitness sightings every day? I have noticed that the lower the IQ the less likely to believe ETs have come here, maybe that’s the answer. Any insight?

Simply it’s the federal government. A lot of Americans tend to believe anything the federal government says, like how Marijuana turned people into murders in the 1930s. Even today the government make pot seem like such a bad drug just because it tends to make people care less about work and the problems and issues of life. The government tends to use propaganda or make up lies to keep americans from getting into their affairs. But back to the aliens, I’m either thinking A: The government is working with the aliens in some way and is keeping the general public out of it. I don’t know how, but it could happen, or B: The government is trying to keep the general public from fear of what the aliens can do. Think of how bad people freaked out during the Cold War, that was fear of war with another country. Try war with another planet. Everyone will be at risk and even if we did know were they’re from, how are we going to get there to reach them? For once in all of time, humans may not be the greatest beings in the universe. Most people believe aliens are far more intelligent than humans. If this is all true then if we go to war, humans are history.
