The huge stomach represents wealth but not material wealth
The hempen sack In China in His time Beggars would wonder about the countryside carrying their belongings in a hempen sack such as He is often depicted with and there is an interesting story
A person asked Him to briefly describe Buddhism He simply let go of His sack letting it fall to the ground When He saw that person understanding He picked up His sack and walked off A good explanation Letting go
Sometimes He is depicted with Children In Chinese Culture having a love of Children is considered a great virtue
