Whats going on with my hand? I cannot extend my arm without a sharp pain occurring in my palm/thumb…?
About a week ago, I woke up with an extremely sore thumb (it is not jammed)…I figured out that when I extend my arm, like to reach for something, there is a sharp pain in my thumb near the palm. I know it is not a broken bone or jammed thumb…This occurred in my sleep. The pain is very short, but intense…It also feels like my thumb is on fire sometimes…The action that I can best describe that hurts me, is banking at an ATM from my car…I can’t even reach with my left hand to push the buttons because the pain is so intense…I’m thinking it has something to do with a nerve, but I would like some input…
I recently lost my full time job with insurance, so I cannot afford to go to the doctor (unless I absolutely have to), so please dont just tell me to go to the doctor, because that’s not going to help me.
Look up carpal tunnel syndrome and Trigger thumb one more possibility would be tendinitis. look up info on all three. you may want to start wearing a brace you can buy them at your local drug store.
